Install Windows XP on a Flash Disk



This article was surfing when I get spare time to seek information and technological developments on the internet. And this in answer to questions students of Al-hikmah critical and thirst for knowledge in addition to gain knowledge of modern religion. I hope this article can be beneficial to all, especially for the students of Al-hikmah Karangmojo.
 
In the process of installing XP on a UFD, you can use all the UFD is compatible with XP, but there are conditions that must be met. UFD capacity of at least 256 Mb bigger the better, which is used motherboard should be able to boot via flash disk, remaining hard drive space of 2 GB, USB version is used it is better to use version 2.0 even though version 1.1 can also be, but the performance will be slower, CD Installing Windows XP SP1 or SP2. 
First Steps

  • - Perform the installation process as usual
  • - Run through the Start
  • - Select that you want to format the UFD device section
  • - Select the file system with FAT32, click start
Make a folder on your hard drive with the name C: \ sp2 \ winxp (at will). Copy the entire content is in the Windows XP installation CD into the folder that you created earlier. As an example I use Windows XP Professional SP2. make sure no files are left behind or hidden. 
The second step 
Download Utility named in www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ PEBuilder. This utility will later include a feature called BartPE. Next install PEBuilder earlier.
  • Run PEBuilder,
  • Dibagian source navigate to C: \ sp2 \ winxp.
  • Output Dibagian using "BartPE2"
  • Dibagian media output change to "Create ISO Image" and browse to c: \ pebuilder.iso. You can add a plugin how you can look at www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/plugins/. if there are applications that want to be included into the UFD should be installed without having to use a portable aplikasi2x.
  • Click the Build, the "create directory" select yes. Build process will run
  • When finished, Close the lid and PEBuilder.

Step Into ThreeDownload an application called FlashBoot of www.prime-expert.com/flashboot/download.php. Install FlashBoot as usual. lastrun through the start menu.

  • The first window click next FlashBoot
  • Select "Convert BartPE Bootable Bootable Flash Disk To Disk", click next
  • Next select the "Use ISO-9660", then browse and locate the ISO file that we created earlier in the c: \ pebuilder.iso, click Open and then Next.
  • Select the "Make Bootable USB Flash Disk" and select the drive letternya with your UFD. If not appear click refresh list, then next.
  • Next remove the checkmark in the "Save data on disk", then select "Partitioned disk". Next click finish, the manufacturing process will run. when done click close.
Set your BIOS to boot from UFD. if it is you can immediately try it.
